David Sanborn is one of the most commercially successful American saxophonists to earn prominence since the 1980s. Sanborn has worked in many genres, which typically blend instrumental pop, R&B, and lately, more and more traditional jazz.

Brian Culbertson has surveyed a broad spectrum of musical styles and prominently featured many of musics finest players. For his most recent release, Culbertson decided to keep conceptualism to a minimum and simply title his twelfth album XII.
