John Mayall
“The Godfather of the British Blues”, John Mayall’s impressive career spans over fifty years. Mayall first gained notoriety during the late '60s as founder of John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, at the same time he discovered Eric Clapton. Clapton and Mayall went on to release a hit album for the Bluesbreakers. Mayall became as well known for discovering new talent (John McVie and Mick Fleetwood who became Fleetwood Mac and Mick Taylor who joined the Rolling Stones, among others) as for his hard-hitting interpretations of the fierce Chicago-style blues he'd grown up listening to.
